Apply to vend

Applications for Bizarre Market Holiday 2025 are NOW OPEN! Read the rules below, then apply using the link at the bottom. We can’t wait to see what you’re making!

  • Bizarre Market Holiday is a juried pop-up shop that features the handmade work of 75 selected artists from the Richmond region.

  • The application period ends on Sunday, October 26th at midnight. Acceptance emails will go out by November 3rd with detailed instructions regarding participation.

  • We'll open the shop on Saturday, November 29th at VisArts, and it will run 7 days a week through December 23rd. Our elves set up and sell all the goods for the pop-up; if you’re accepted, all you’ll need to do is label your items with our vendor number and drop them off at VisArts on the delivery date that we’ll send you when you’re accepted.

  • We take applications from local makers of ceramics, jewelry, toys, housewares, art, printed goods, skin care delights, shelf-stable snacks, accessories, oddities, stickers, and any other good fun weird stuff. Fully handmade/hand-printed items are given priority over designs that have been applied to mass-produced goods.

  • You will only have the option to apply in ONE craft category per application - but you can submit multiple applications! If you work in several categories, just note that we may not accept you in all of them - the jury reviews goods by category and may want your candles but not your housewares, for example. If you ARE accepted in more than one category, you will still receive just ONE vendor number.

  • We do not typically carry items priced at over $350.

  • We cannot accept food items that expire quickly or need refrigeration, entirely mass-produced items, vintage goods (for this one, but we love vintage sellers for our one-day markets !), or Very Large Items like furniture and big-format sculpture.

  • We can make arrangements to RECEIVE inventory by mail for near-to-local makers (Charlottesville, Lynchburg, etc.) but we cannot mail inventory back; it must be picked up in person at the end of the market.

  • Accepted vendors will need to be able to restock inventory throughout the month of sales if requested.

  • Bizarre Market Holiday pays its elves, supports its host space, and covers expenses by taking a 30% commission from the total sales from the pop-up. There is no application fee and no fixed vendor fee, just the flat percentage of sales at the end of the market period.
